EXTREME RCX Race Event Schedule: TWO DAY EVENT
Saturday -Practice, Seeding Practice, & Qualifying Round 1
Seeding Rounds -2 x 6 Minute (Top 2 consecutive Laps from the two seeding rounds)
Qualifying rounds – 1 x 6 minute round.
Sunday Race Day – Qualifying Round 2, & Bump up Mains
Qualifying rounds -1 x 6 minute rounds (Best Qualifying result of Q1 & Q2 to count)
Nitro Classes – Top 10 qualify directly into the A Main, and top two drivers from B Main bump up into A Main.
(Entry dependant we may adjust this to a single bump up.)
Mains:
- Nitro Buggy – 45 Minute Main, B Mains and lower between 15-20 Min Mains.
- Nitro Truggy – Single 30 Minute Main.
- Electric Buggy & Truggy –3 x 9min mains best two mains’ results count for event final result.
- SCT 2WD –3 x 8min mains best two mains’ results count for event final result.
- (Entry dependent, we could adjust race times to accommodate the schedule for the day.)
COMPULSORY – SPEC Tyres!
Nitro Buggy and Electric Buggy
6MIK SPEC tyres are compulsory and must be used in both Nitro and Electric Buggy classes, these exclusively available at the track shop, We reserve the right to change the pattern and compound during the season, should this be the case we will inform all drivers a month before the next championship event.
Drivers can pre order their rim color choice, White, Yellow or Coral Red. (All special orders must be confirmed at least 4 weeks prior to the event date.)
The Spec tyres are only sold in sets of 4, Factory pre-glued and Loose rubber can be purchased.
NOTE: ANY DRIVER FOUND NOT USING THE SPEC TYRE WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DQ from the event.
Event Scoring and Championship Points

Triple Mains Results / Tie Breakers: (ELECTRIC CLASSES) – ref to (IFMAR)settings in the LiveTime scoring engine – Final results is best combined finishing positions, The Tie-breaker is the best single finishing position (1-3 beats a 2-2) if the there is still a tie, then the laps/time from the best finishing position run is the final tie-breaker.
Class Points:
1st = 100, 2nd = 98, 3rd = 96, 4th = 95, 5th = 94, and descends further in single points.
Championship Points
- RCX Championship points – 5 Rounds, 3 best rounds points count for final championship standings.
Event Awards – Top 5 in each class
Special Awards at events:
- Junior driver of the day
- Driver of the Day
- Pit Crew Award
Year End Championship Series Awards:
RCX Championship Series – All Classes – TOP 5 in each class.
Combination of classes
In the event that there are not sufficient entries in any class it is the event directors call to combine the two classes in the same heat or race, if the classes are combined in a race the class results and championship points will NOT be affected.
Shortening of MAIN RACES
In the event there is less than 4 cars or less than 30% of starting grid left in a race and the race distance has exceeded 60 %, it is the race directors call with confirmation of the drivers to shorten the race time and final race results will be the finishing positions at the time on the track.
CANCELLATION – Weather Rule
Once a race has started the race schedule and it cannot be completed for any reason then driver and championship points will be awarded based on the current standings in the race if more than 60 % has been completed, if 60 % is not completed the final results will be the last completed race in the event, be that a Super Pole or Qualifying race.
At least one race has been completed for points to be awarded for the event.
Event Results – Race Control / Race Referee / Race Director & Protests
- Scoring system used is AMB Decoders with LiveTime scoring software.
- Race Control, Race Referee, and Race Directors are appointed by RCX Raceway.
- Any and all result protest should be raised in the following order:
- 1) Raise concern and issue with Race Control directly after your race, or ONE of YOUR pit crew members can raise the concern immediatly with Race Control.
- NOTE the following:
- 1) RCX Raceway and Race Control is not responsible for your transponder not working, it is the drivers responsibility to ensure your transponder is working and signal strength can be checked before the start of the event.
- 2) Driver crashing and a marshal placing your car on the wrong side of the lane, or in the wrong direction is not Race Control responsibility. Driver is responsible to return in the same lane and direction.
- 3) It is the Drivers responsibility to make sure that you cross the finish /( transponder line) clearly marked across the track each lap during your race.
- 4) All protests are concluded before prizegiving at the event, Under no circumstances will any protests be entertained after the event prize giving has taken place.

2026 RCX SPRINT Race Format
Two Rounds for 2026, Same format as Extreme just shorter mains. THESE TWO RACES DO NOT FORM PART OF THE EXTREME RCX CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

Sunday Race Day – RCX SPRINT RACE DAY
A Single 6 Minute Seeding Round (TOP 2 Consecutive Laps)
2 x 6minute Qualifying (Full Time to count, best round of two to count)

- Nitro Buggy – 1 x 30min main (A Main) 1x 15min main (B Main)
- Nitro Truggy – 1 x 20min main
- Electric Buggy & Truggy –2 x 9min mains “BEST combined finishing Positions” for event final result.
- SCT 2WD –2 x 8min mains “BEST combined finishing Positions” for event final result.
